I posted a thread about three Makarov pistols in this forum a few days ago. I own one other pistol in 9x18 Makarov caliber, a CZ-82 military surplus gun. This one pictured is somewhat unique in that it must have been one of the very last run in 1994 as indicated by the "she94" and cross-sword symbol on the right side of the frame. Since it was a late model after the break-up of Czechoslovakia, the import mark says "Czech Republic." This one has a much more modern finish than the typical baked on paint you usually see. It is a more durable poly coat covering. I've always liked the unique bore of this gun which at first glance looks like a smoothbore. It is very subdued polygonal rifling designed to give the bore long life and accomodate the special Czech high velocity 9x18 round. Thanks for looking.

Great handgun.....you will really enjoy your CZ!
Am waiting to get mine back from BATF as it is being held in evidence.

You'll like the Cz82. Now you just need to get the accessories - like the cleaning rod, lanyard, and holster. The tan box like holster is OK and will work, but the black belt holster and mag pouch are the best.

I have a nice thumb break belt holster I bought from an EBay seller in Finland. I think I sold the ambidextrous Czech military holster. I really never liked it. This holster allows the gun to be carried "cocked and locked," or decocked. It also fits my CZ-83 like a glove. I have a CZ-82/83 factory box that has cleaning brush and rod as well as a CZ-83 factory manual.

Your CZ is in much nicer shape than My CZ82. I carried mine as a cold weather CCW awhile and loaned it to a nephew who was working his way through college as a security guard. He told me that when he went to his range qualifications the Range Officer was a little skeptical because he'd never seen a CZ82, but my nephew had no problems qualifying so that's what he carried.

With 4 handguns in 9x18 I'm sure you know this but it is an easy ctg to reload. I use cut down range pick-up 9x19 brass because it's free, cast bullets from the Lee Makarov mold lubed with Alox and 3.6gns of Bullseye powder.
