Most of these celebs who are "found dead" are known drug abusers.

I presume that Chyna will get an autopsy, and Fox News confirmed that Prince is getting one today, although toxicology results may take a week or more. Police may or may not reveal the cause of death soon.

I am, pretty frankly, disgusted at the adulation the media gives these people. Even our local channels seem to have talking heads who are more interested in some rock singer with a history of drug abuse than they are about history or nature. I think some of them who come here from other states have to have it explained to them what a coyote or a bobcat is. They have to report about them when viewers call the station and ask what to do when those animals invade their neighborhoods. They about freak when they have to do a snake report.

I don't think the local media have a clue as to who the Doolittle Raiders were, and one gal admitted that she doesn't even know what Spam is, the processed pork product from Hormel, not the Internet kind. But another reported today that Hormel is opening a new Spam museum. She admitted having eaten Spam at her parent's place, growing up, but not since. Maybe she'll share her knowledge with the other reporters.

I think these people and a lot of other young Americans are mainly interested in music, sports, and electronic games and in getting pot legalized. And, of course, in promoting PC and chasing ratings.

Never fear: You'll soon know what the cause of death was. The reporters will make a big deal of how sad it is that such a talented person died so young, etc.

These are the people who give a recipient of the Medal of Honor maybe five minutes on the talk shows and seem to have trouble comprehending just what that medal is and what the recipient did to receive it. But they'll give a dead singer a week or two of dedicated coverage, as if we'd incurred a grave loss that will have a major place in history.

It's easy to see what their values are. Their version of a hero or role model is different than mine. If you were a fan of Chyna, sorry. I'm just really bummed by all the Prince publicity. Ditto for Michael Jackson a few years ago. And all of these accolades come from broadcasters who think that Thos. Jefferson was an evil man who's newsworthy only when they want to report that he owned slaves and may have had descendants by one.

Don't you have to have heard of someone for them to be a cleb?. I don't get out much but could not tell yo the names of any wrestlers, male or female outside of Olympic ones.

BTW, Keith Hefner, Hugh's brother, died about a week ago, the day before Hugh turned 90. What a rotten birthday present for Hef. He was 87, younger than Hef.

The media seem to have largely ignored that death. I saw it Online and on YouTube, but not on the TV entertainment shows, let alone the main news shows.

It's said that celebs die in threes. I guess that if we include Keith Hefner, Chyna, and Prince, that makes up the current threesome.

Prince and chyna it was drugs. They said Prince was in for drug problems two days before he died if the news got it right.

What a waste of talent.

Rather strange is it not about autopsy. Patton did not get one and there are a huge bunch of important people in a few countries including the US that had reason to want him dead, and in more recent time the biggest supporter of the 2ed amendment and a sitting SCOTUS died and no autopsy!

Things that make you say-- Yeah right!

"Patton did not get one and there are a huge bunch of important people in a few countries including the US that had reason to want him dead"

True enough, but also because Patton's wife did not want an autopsy performed.

Yes I know that but I also know a corner, medical examiner (ME) and other officials if they want can overrule a family's wishes. This was not done in Patton's case and I THINK in Scalias case.

No big deal to some people but when two of the most important people of their era in this country service die under mysterious/ strange circumstances You got to wonder!

I saw her in Playboy, even though I only read the articles.

Twice even.

I am surprised that her few porns aren't being blared all over the media, with the key parts having a black bar over them. Of course Prince stole her thunder so we won't hear much more about her.

Doris Roberts would be the actual celebrity for that trio. She was Ellen Griswold's mom in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and play Ray's mom on Everyone loves Raymond, among other movies and shows. She started the whole thing off early this week.

I believe it was Fred Allen who said:
"A celebrity is someone who is well know for being well known."
Pro-wrestling is not the healthiest of lifestyles and if it's not drugs then it's heart problems caused by too much weight, poor diet, etc. Only time I ever heard Prince's music was years ago when I watched VH-1. I have read he was a rather shrewd businessman, good at marketing himself-cf. all the publicity over that "glyph" and he kept a close watch over his copyrights.

My only real hero was my father who worked his whole life for his family, often two full time jobs. I am certain there are many other quite heroes like him out there, but he was the one I knew.

All other types of heroes pale by comparison, in my opinion.

I really enjoyed Prince's music and movies on tv last night.

Why do they all pay the price when it comes to doing drugs? I just don't get it.

If it was Taylor Swift who died (perish the thought!), I might be surprised about drugs. And there are a few other singers who seem pretty clean of drugs. I just saw Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on, Extra, and they come across well, in the main. Adam married Behati Prinsloo, one of my favorite celebs and one of the happiest, most cheerful and humorous people in public life. They seem very in love and are expecting their first child.

Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel also seem sober and like they might be fun to know. And Taylor's known friends, except for maybe Cara Delavigne (sp?) also seem above board. And Cara doesn't seem to be one of the real insiders in that group.

Last night, Megyn Kelly, who Is a lawyer as well as a commentator for Fox, assembled some of her friends in the legal and medical fields and asked them about the coming Prince autopsy and the medical implications of his death, based on symptoms. All agreed that the death is very suspicious and that we'll probably hear before too long that Prince OD'd. She was the first celeb commentator whom I heard to make this point, while all of the other major talking heads discussing the matter were falling all over themselves to praise Prince.

I think a lot of this current crop of newspersons were danged near hippies and were fans of the rock and drug culture. Their heroes are rock singers and actors. And that element of society is often really messed up and are rather likely to use drugs.

P.S. Megyn is on again and is interviewing a man who said that Prince took a life threatening overdose of Percocet a day or so before his death. This may be related to his being in pain from some old surgery. Witnesses in a Walgreen's store described Prince as being very agitated and pacing as he filled prescriptions. Tox. results are expected in about two weeks.

TMZ says that Prince was treated for an OD of Percocet within days of his death.

It'll be interesting to see where this investigation goes. But I have a feeling that we already know most of it.
