[rant on/]
My Dumbfone is a Nokia slab configured as a Windows phone. I was pretty much forced to buy it as none of the other AT&T phones would work with the Bluetooth in my car. Bluetooth not being treated by anybody as a standard is a rant for another day.
The phone has a 5MP camera. I recall when I first got it the phone it was loaded with Window 8 and to get the max resolution of the camera I had to access the settings and set it to 5 MP.
Fast forward to today when it occurred to me that I should set my camera to a lower resolution for non-critical shots. That way I save time and bandwidth when I forward stuff. Went to the camera settings, and the resolution option is AWOL.

I searched the Web to see what I had done wrong, only to find that the Seattle Overlords had removed this option when "upgrading" to Windows 8.1.

Large doses of WTH, over.

I have yet to discover why they did this, but I am better off than some after the 8.1 upgrade. There are a lot of VERY grumpy people with cameras locked at 2MP resolution unless they install a 3rd party app. Talk about Microsoft fixing what wasn't broken.
I can only wish the following upon the idiot who suggested this "upgrade":-
1) Sudden inability to breed. We don't need your type of helpfulness in the gene pool.
2) Something ugly and painful to happen to them, probably taken from Game of Thrones, dragged out over a week or three and finishing with an unspeakable act upon their person committed by a dragon.
3) The most excruciating parts of #2 are to be widely distributed on YouTube as a reminder to all software writers the consequences of being "helpful".
