I had a few goals this time: continue breaking in the 4516 and try some SD loads, line in the Crimson Trace for my P3AT and try some SD loads, and try the Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel in my M&P40c.

First, the conversion. It worked great! Just swap the barrel, break out the 9mm mags, and you're good to go. Shots were accurate even with the cheap American Eagle ammo I was using. I didn't have a single FTE and do not forsee any. The first thumbnail is 3 17-round mags worth of rapid and slow mixed fire at 10 yards.

I ran another box of FMJ through the 4516, Aguila 230gr this time, and discovered that it likes Win. PDX1 best. Below is a 1 mag group of the Aguila, also at 10 yards. A bit low but not bad.

Finally, I'm becoming more and more impressed with my little pea shooter. With the CT it is now just point and click (well, hopefully "BANG" instead of 'click'). Third thumbnail is 5 shots of Corbon DPX; fourth is 3 rounds of Speer Gold Dot. I'm feeling confident.:D

Lastly, these targets arrived recently at the shop so we can be more prepared for the possibility;):D:D

Couldn't have been too good of a day. Someone put a bunch of holes in your new targets :D Seriously though nice shooting! I love the CT grips on my 5906 too :)

Nope, that will not do at all. You are shooting far too accurately and your reporting too good of reliability. All you're going to do is win over more fans to S&W then prices are going to go up. Knock it off.

Cool. Early in my handgun shooting experience, I focused on only precision target accuracy. For that reason I very much preferred the longer barrel revolvers and pistols. When the realities of SD/HD became a consideration, I began to focus on the practical aspects of getting hits on target in more realistic settings. Therefore I thoroughly approve of your use of both bullseye and zombi targets. One must be prepared not only for traditional target shooting but also realistic SD/HD threats. Personally I keep a Springfield Mil-Spec .45 ACP 1911 on the nightstand... one never knows when it may be necessary to make a quick trip to the target range or else one may have to stand off a zombi invasion. Seriously, looks like your new pistol is both a winner and shooter! Sincerely. brucev.
