This will be the initial test run. Cast at a 20:1 lead to tin alloy so maybe a little harder than I want. These have 5.5gr of Win 231 pushing them and they will be tested in my box stock Colt 1991A1 with a five inch barrel. I can't wait for Friday. I may have to have a buddy do some expansion testing on them. Fun!

My range doesn't allow for anything but paper targets so I may send some with a friend to test at a different range so I know if they expand or not. I wish I could at least pop a few milk jugs, but my range peeps would be all over me in a second for that.

Darn shame you can't find an inlaw or someone you don't like to hold your targets, that way you can get the expansion test and accuracy at the same time.

I cast and shoot the RCBS 201 with loads from 4.5 to 5.5 grains of 231 in a Colt GC and a Springfield Micro Compact, they are not hollow pointed like your but shoot very well. They will put a big smile on your face.

That is a very bullety looking bullet. The H&G 68 is a profile I've always very much liked for the .45 ACP as it feeds in just about any 1911 and cuts a nice sharp round hole in target paper. How I wish there were a commercial casting operation that offered this bullet as a HP! Cast soft and fitted to the barrel, one can only imagine the results not only with a 1911 but the S&W 625-2!!!
