there's a scene in thunderbolt and lightfoot where clint eastwood and jeff bridges have a suppressed colt revolver pulled on them.

despite that and a couple other hokey scenes it was still an enjoyable movie.

Hollywood has been lying to Americans for decades about all kinds of stuff to the point that lawmakers are making laws based on the what they have been brainwashed to be true from watching TV and movies. Most people only comprehend the capability of "silencers" from what Hollywood has told them. I suspect most people today think we are all already required to register our guns . . . where do you think they get that idea from?

So the second gunman......

IIRC there is a JFK conspiracy movie where a "second gunman" rigged a .38 snubby in a "Super 8" movie camera to take a shot at the motorcade from the Grassy Knoll. Gotta hand it to Hollywood, and thier technical experts.

So the second gunman was right under everybody's nose. Zapruder putting a snub in his Bell and Howell. What a ploy.

In New Jersey -- All Firearms and All Firearm Owners Are Suppressed
NRA is presently backing a legal challenge to New Jersey's "Shall Issue" suppression of carry permits
Go NRA!

Had a Nagant a few years ago.

It had what is apparently a common problem where the forcing cone was of larger internal diameter than the chamber mouths...

Due to the gas seal design, upon firing the round's case mouth would fire form into the forcing cone and bell out. This made extraction virtually impossible. I even tried real Russian military 7.62x38mmR ammo to no avail.

What kind of surplus gun can't shoot its own military's issued ammunition??

That along with the stupid (and I mean STUPID) heavy DA pull made this by far the worst firearm I have ever owned. Thank god they got it right with the later Tokarev and Makarov (both are excellent). I would be truly sore if I had to carry a Nagant revolver into combat. Their interest starts with "history" and ends right there.

I'm used to doing the heavy lifting

I have to cut on the lawn sprinkler if I wanna double tap this baby.
