Another technical question. How can you use your computer as a telephone?

Reason im asking is, my pen pal from Spain, wants to also know-so that maybe we can speak with each other on the weekends. She is wanting to come visit some time this year as well-no dates set yet.

Look up Skype. It will let you use the camera and mic on your computer. It used to be free, not sure now.

I've not used it, but I sometimes see members here with a Skype contact in their post headers.

Thank you all, I will be looking into all of the above come Wednesday. I cant do anything on my phone as its a cheapo flip top. I didnt know facebook had such a service though?

Yup, if you both have skype you can make video calls for free.
We use skype as a phone for outgoing calls only but for that there's a yearly fee. I'm not sure how much (my wife has an degree in accounting and takes care of the budget) but I know it's not much.

I do want it badly. I bought a $15 small waistband holster at a gun show a few months ago just to get used to carrying. I was all set to send you a MO to pay, then I separated with my last employer, and they still have not paid me my last two checks. SO now, im living off my tax return money. Might be lawyer time. I still owe Rusty a large package too, but cant send since im now having to pinch pennies again until I get my final two checks.

My son is in school in Spain (I'm finally caught up on .44 Special reloads). We use WhatsApp to either text or call each other. It really works great. You both have to download the App which is free. We also do video calls on Facebook but that was set up by my wife. I don't do face book otherwise.
