How rare would a factory set of N frame Rosewood Checkered Target Stocks be...in the package? They have the football relief. What would be a reasonable price? They are light colored and streaked, almost like GA.

Thanks for any help.

I’m no expert, but I’d expect them to be very rare in the package. However, I don’t think that adds a lot of value over a new-condition set with no package. I’d say around $225.

I’d also say the color and grain will determine value more than the new condition.

Rosewood is definitely less common.
Pics or it didn't happen! Lol

I bought a set in a package that was labeled as Rosewood back in 1985 that were exactly as you described. Although they were rosewood they were not the same Bahia species that Most people refer to when talking factory rosewood. From what doc44 has taught us , checked Bahia targets stocks are rare. So it will depend on which rosewood you have.

Here is a pic of the grips. They obviously are not the dark rosewood that we think of, maybe the Honduran variety referenced in the Standard Catalog of S&W 4th Edition. I can't find anything on them to give a feel for where they are price wise.
