I have the opportunity to buy the 38 special ammo in the attached pictures plus a couple of other really beat up boxes for around $300. I have never had any experience in this area. Can any of the antique ammo collectors weigh in on this for me?
Thanks,
Randy

I checked GB on the steel jacket Remington ammo. A nice clean full box didn’t sell for $40, whatever that means. Those boxes are too rough for a collection and I wouldn’t shoot it in my guns. The Western box is a mess and it’s worth the shooter value of the ammo ($10-15). The military Remington ball and tracer boxes are probably worth $25-40 each.

Assuming they’re all full, I think I’d pay up to $125 for the lot.

Thanks for the info. I am not into collecting ammo or boxes so I believe that I will pass on this one
Thanks,
Randy
