ANY EXPERIENCE WITH HORNADY ONE SHOT TAP H-D CLEANER, LUBE AND RP?

Even though I am a dyed in the wool Rig #2-Oil man, I'm always attracted to new gun care products. I just read one heck of an extensive review of this product and it was intriguing to me. Does anyone here have first hand experience with it? If so are you using the aerosol spray or the 2 oz pump bottle?

So far the only hesitation I have in ordering it is the not so friendly health concerns. Since most of us tend to clean and work on our guns indoors (and they recommend outdoors or WELL ventilated areas) that is one major concern I have. Might be a bit disconcerting cleaning my guns outdoors in January with snow on the ground!

Well other than that, any first hand experiences would be nice. Thanks in advance.

I use the spray can and the squirt or two used for it's intended purpose is no cause of concern to me...

So I couldn't resist the hype and in depth review and I ordered a pump bottle. I guess I'll try it first hand. I spoke to the Technical Dept. of Hornady and they absolutely reconfirmed the fact that they recommend using the product in a WELL VENTILATED area or outdoors. I guess all that good stuff doesn't go well with lung tissue.

I am not familiar with that particular product, but if it is anything like the Hornady One Shot reloading Lube I couldn't recommend it. The only time in my life I ever stuck a case in a die was with Hornady One shot lube, Twice. I have not used it since and have not stuck a case since.

Well not an overwhelming response here, but I did order a 2 ounce spray pump bottle and will post my opinion after using it for a while.

I received the 2 ounce pump bottle of the Hornady One Shot today and when I went to give it a shot it was empty! No leakage in the packaging so I'll assume it evaporated in the container. The screw on pump was a bit loose. Hornady is suppose to send out another one tomorrow.

Well just a follow up here, but the replacement 2 ounce bottle of the Hornady One Shot they sent me arrived today and guess what-------- it is empty as well! I specifically requested that they check the pump bottle before shipping it to me but apparently they did not. When I called the Company I purchased it from they sounded like the really did not believe me, so I suggested they send a call tag out and see for themselves. In the mean time I also requested a refund as I have lost patience with this whole matter and will simply stick with the Rig #2 I've been happy with for over 30 years. Hey........... at least I tried!

I called Hornady themselves and found out that the pump bottle of this product has been discontinued so maybe they were having this problem often. Apparently, Hornady said there was not much interest in this entire product line and they are considering dropping the whole One Shot Cleaner product line -aerosol as well.
