Hi,

I am looking for a laser sight for my SD9 and was looking at Crimson Trace, but only found the grip sights for the M&P, not the SD9, and the Sigma laser sight is mounted at the front of the trigger guard, which I don't really like. And I'm not too keen on rail mounting one on the SD9. It just seems like it would get in the way.

I found this sight: LaserLyte
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

I was considering that one awhile ago. For my Glock. I don't recall the specifics but, after reading many articles (and posting many questions, like you, on different forums), I decided against it. Almost everyone does better with instinctive on/off systems like the Crimson Trace stuff. Most laser reviews end up stating something very much like that too.
I ended up with the CT's and wouldn't have any other for "on the gun" use.
I do have a $50 Laserlyte compact laser and the special mount required for my 40VE. I use it for dry fire practice for all of my guns w/rails. I just got one of the Laserlyte Pro Trainer thinggy's too. So far, I'm not impressed with it.
