Wife and I just finished streaming the first season on Amazon Prime, and I thought it was excellent. The premise sounds kinda hokey -- con man gets out of prison and assumes his cellmate's identity, then finds the guy's family and becomes a part of it -- but just watch the pilot episode and you'll be hooked. Some fine actors in this: Giovanni Ribisi (remember the medic in "Saving Private Ryan"?), Bryan Cranston as a prototypical bad guy (by the way, seems Cranston is in everything these days), Margo Martindale ("Mags Bennett" in Justified), and excellent supporting cast.

Some great cons perpetrated in the show, ones that have been around long enough to have titles and names for each of the players. I also found out what a "house painter" is, a term I had never heard before, that doesn't have anything to do with the con game.

Highly recommend!

Great show. I'm half way through and won't come back to this thread so I don't see "spoilers". Another good series to check out is Stranger Things. I like that they can be binge watched and you don't have to wait for the next episode to come out.

Great show. Thought it might be so so but it turned out to be really Good.
Very good acting

Yeah, I liked it a lot.
Great cast, good script.
Not as good as Breaking Bad, but I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 rating.

I wasn't sold for the first couple of episodes but after that my wife and I both got into and enjoyed the rest of the season.

Ribisi is as good as they come in his acting skills. That "mug" of his is about as expressive as the written word.

I felt like he was mimicking De Niro with his expressions. I had to kind of work past that at first until I got used to it.

...I thought you were referring to "Sneaky Pete" Robinson...

I thought you were referring to grape juice and EverClear.
When I was young enough to participate in such insanity that was called a Purple Jesus here in the south, because if you drank enough of it you would be crying out for a bit of "divine intervention".

To an old time auto mechanic, a "Sneaky Pete" is a tool used to replace the rear main seal in a Chevy engine without pulling the crankshaft out.

The drink of choice back when I was in college was Mad Dog 20/20.
I haven't had any in years!
