I have a mathematical statistics issue I would like to discuss with an expert, if there are any here. I've taken a number of college-level statistics courses myself, and even taught some basic undergraduate statistics courses, but I am looking for an opinion from someone with a lot more experience and expertise than I. Please PM me if you fit the bill.

It's complicated, would take a lot of space to explain it, and no one without some statistical analysis background would know what I am asking about - or care.

The following has been attributed to Voltaire
" There are lies. There are damnable lies. There are statistics."

DWalt,

My statistical background sounds a lot like yours...applied rather than theoretical. No "first moment about the mean" in my background. So if your question is a theoretical math-stat one I'm of little use. Otherwise, shoot me a pmail and we'll see what develops.

Just remember that 87% of statistics are made up and there are true facts and statistics!

Ignoring the feeble attempts at "humor", I have taken several stats courses as well as some experimental at both the undergrad and grad level. I also have practical experience. Doubt I can help but try me.
