I went last night to the Odeum in my town and they had the 1964 Tribute Band. This is 4 guys that play Beatles music to the note, and vocally it is hard to tell the difference. They dress like Beatles from suits to shoes, have hair cuts like the Beatles, play original Hofner, Gretsch, Rickenbacher and Ludwig instruments, and in general mimic them to a tee. Vox amps too

I had a great time singing along and enjoying the show. They do 70 shows a year all over the world.

If you get the chance, I recommend it

Even a left-handed bass; that's hard to pull off. I'm interested enough to look them up. Only Beatles' music? That's the band Paul McCartney was with before he joined Wings, right?!
Thanks for the tip. Some "tribute bands" are pretty darned good, but it's tough to go note-for-note; to me, if they give it just a touch of their own style they usually are pretty entertaining. To many, there are a lot of songs that could've been Beatles but they were another band (Beatles wrote a lot of other guys' hits, too), so that would give a good tribute band more material, like they'd need it, to throw in for change of pace.
Never heard of them, but thanks for the tip.
Thinking about it, they could go take a 1/2 hour break, smoke some good hooch, put on wigs and funny clothes, and come back out and play some of their "newer" stuff. Loved The Beatles. They hit about when I was 5 or 6 so their older music really brings back a ton of memories. My dad always said "they're just a flash in the pan." What a flash!

Yes on McCartney, and the bass player took a year to play left handed

Not these guys, but I did see the original "Beatlemania" on broadway back when, then caught them again a few years later at a theater in Waterbury CT. They were pretty darn good.

I have been lucky enough to see most of the bands I really wanted to, but the Beatles alluded me as they stopped touring when I was 7 years old....:(

I've seen them twice - quite good! I also saw another group (same exact concept) called Strawberry Fields which were also spot-on. Don't know many who don't like The Beatles.
