i have a few places stocking this ammo and just wondering is it ok ammo cause it is a bit cheaper then most anything else around here i just got 500 rounds for 145.00 and that is not bad compared to like 300 for blazer or Winchester. the only big drawback i see is that its steel case and not brass but for the price i could not pass it up. any comments on this ammo or is it ok to shoot for target and plinking

Do what you want, but to save money I handload. I buy every product American made so far as I'm able. We're trading our birthright for a bowl of soup and empty promises.

yeah i am looking into reloading my self to save loot but it cost a bit to get into. the only reason i bought these is they where cheap. and is the only ammo they had in stock at the time. i am trying to pick some blazer and national up from gun broker but the prices are high and then you still have shipping and what not to add on :(. but my walmart will be getting stuff in tonight around 6 or 7. so i will be there waiting for that as well. trying to stock up for a while so i can shoot every now and then

I've shied away from steel cased ammo. I know, I know, a lot of people are shooting it with no problems, but as a LE firearms instructor I see more problems with steel ammo, Wolf in particular, than with brass.

I absolutely have quit using Wolf ammo in .30 carbine and .380 ACP. I shoot a lot of .30 carbine ammo and the only problems I've had have been with Wolf ammo, same for my Walther PPK/S. The only problems I've had with it have been with Wolf.

To your specific question about .40 S&W, my department bought several cases of it for practice ammo with Glocks and we've had no problems, but I happen to think it's more because Glocks tend to be bullet proof.

well i bought some reloading equipment from midway i got the lee c press and a set of dies for my .40 i guess i will just start reloading to save some money. i can find almost everything but primers though i will look at bass pro tomorrow on the way home from work and see what they have
