We have NETFLIX as part of our $10,000 per month cable package and one of the inclusions is NETFLIX. Just for S&G's I opened it last week and the first thing that I found is Longmire.

I think that it was on for 6 seasons with about 63 total episodes. I have been binge watching it for several days and I absolutely love the show. It is great because there are no commercials and when one episode ends another loads. No waiting 7 days to see what happens next week. :D

I'm in to season 4 (I think) and Walt just got shot in bed while making whoopie with a doctor lady.

Graham Greene is playing a real creep and next to old man Connally, I'm not sure which one I hate more.

Well just stopped for a quick bite and it's back to the couch for a few more episodes.

Love to hear comments from any other watchers out there.

We have had a bunch of Longmire threads.
I have joined Netflix just to watch it!
Have seen all episodes, my only regrets are there are no more!
Enjoy!
Then - watch Godless. It’s just so good!
I have watched The Ranch, Z Nation, Aussie Gold hunters, and some other Netflix options.
Have found nothing I like as much as Longmire and Godless.
Well almost nothing.
I forgot UnBranded.
A true story of young Texas Horsemen riding Mustangs from Arizona to Canada.

Am I missing something important?

My high fallutin', very classy, double PhD'd sister, age 70 emailed to tell me not to call tonight because they are watching Longmire :) ... after the chamber music recital at the University in the afternoon. She's the one doing yoga five days a week and drinking fine wine in the evening. What's up with that?

I love longmire but have not see it in years since it left cable. I didn’t know it was on Net Flix....... **** now I got to get Netflix.

We picked up netflix at our place a few months ago. Longmire was one of the first things I binged on after seeing it show up so often here on the board.

Yep. Great show. And one of those where the producers planned ahead and found nice ways to wrap things up at the end of the last season.

I also like the books by Craig Johnson, although they are quite different in many ways, especially in the way the characters are drawn. And the most interesting characters in the show for me are the Indians that aren’t even in the books, Nighthorse, Matthias, and of course Malachi.

I too bought Netflix just for Longmire. The wife and I binged watched it from start to finish, within the free 1st month's trial. Went back and Watched it again, because the wife slept through a few along the way. Great show! Ranks up there with Justified and Hell on Wheels, that we also rewatched. Then we tried "Deadwood", and as much as I like the characters, and the plots, there's WAY to much uncalled for cursing and swearing. 3 to 4 shows into it, I stopped watching. Too much filthy C********ing in it for me. Just binged Godless, all shows, and loved it too. What's left to watch now???

*** I don't know quite how I came to view it, but I watched several Of Craig Johnson's book club signings and talks.
The guy is a treat to watch. His Wyoming ranch is no B S, and he raises horses, keeps his own corral and does his other ranch necessities.

Oddly enough, I spotted an email address for him and sent a comment or too. Wonder of wonders I got a personal reply in about two days with answers to my questions / comments. Have had several follow-ups about new book releases and Longmire's future.

He claims his wife, (a Philadelphia red-head ), is the source of info for his female deputy,...( "Vic Moretti); except,... according to him, his wife cusses more !

Longmire is one of my favorites, also look for Banshee.

Thanks folks for the feedback. It always amazes me how a show like this gets cancelled when there is so much (number 2) on the air.

Another show that was recently cancelled is "Last Man Standing". One of my favorite comedians Tim Allen is the father of three girls each with totally different personalities. He may be way too conservative for some but he's very pro gun and the chemistry with his wife is great. Around here it is rerun at 5 PM and 5:30 PM and even my wife loves it.

As I said above, they leave a show like the "Goldbergs" on and cancel something like Last Man Standing just amazes me.

Hopefully at least they will give the show a participation trophy. ;)

We enjoyed "Longmire" all the way from cable over to NetFlix. Season 4 is right in the thick of it...good stuff.
Was getting a little tired of the court case stuff in the final season, but they finished up strong.

Check out "The Ranch" on NetFlix with Ashton Kutcher, Sam Elliott, Debra Winger & Danny Masterson. Snappy dialog and funny.

How a show like "Last Man Standing" gets cut when it is #2 rated is beyond me. I can not watch most of what is on network anything these days.

I've pretty much quit watching network TV. Netflix and Amazon produce their own shows, and they are far better than anything on network TV. The BBC (UK) produced shows are also very good.

The one network produced show I would like to see is the new Star Trek, available only on CBS instant access. I don't want to pay $8 a month just to get 1 show though. I hope it is out on DVD eventually.

WOW, all done. I have to say that the series was pretty good and I appreciated that they finished the story line and did not leave me hanging.

My only two observations would be too many dead bodies and too much co worker shtupping going on. If Cady becomes Sheriff, she will be doing her deputy. Walt and Vic.

Really liked Lou Diamond Phillips in the movie and glad that he got the (spoiler alert) in the end.

Malachi needed to fall out of the car, down a cliff, catch fire and then get run over by a train.

I finished watching Longmire about a week ago, and I really enjoyed it. Sorta of binged watched it took me a couple of weeks. I really got into that show, and I have not done that in a very long time. I am really not that kind.
But I really liked Longmire`s way of thinking. To Him it is either right or it's wrong, no grey areas. And He said very plainly in very few words what He turley meant and belived. I truly miss that type of honesty in most of the people I know now. I will try the other shows You Guys seemed to enjoy. I have really enjoyed Netflix so far, my Son signed me up for it to give me something to do, He said. It is to darned cold and windy for me to go shooting very much right now.
