Been starting a small collection of lever guns and they are a different kind of shooting fun.The Henry's have a smooth action that's easy on the fingers like butter. So far I have a Silver Eagle 22lr.and a Big Boy Brass in .357/38 special.Took my Henry .357 camping earlier this month camping and I just loved it.In the future I will be looking for a Rossi-92 in .357 just because but they are hard to find NIB.I would say they a pretty much ban proof years from now or way in the future. Some come in more powerful calibers that can pack a powerful wallop.

I only have a Marlin 336BL in .30-30.

I like the big loop and the 18.5" barrel. It shoots nice and with the Buffalo Bore 190 GR. JFN (Item 28A) I don't feel undergunned, even with large(r) predators.

Don't get to play with the lever guns much. But I've got a couple.
Marlin 1895 45-70
Winchester 94 30-30
Rossi 92 .357
Savage 99 300 Savage
and a Winchester 88 , 308 ( not pictured)

I love the vintage lever action deer rifles of earlier generations, particularly the Savage Model 99 although I don't own any for the moment. I have a Marlin, pre-safety in .35 Remington and a Winchester 88 in cal. 308. While I've heard some people compare the Model 88 to 2X4s and railroad ties, I find the gun handles easily and can hold its own against most bolt action rifles. My Model 88 can do three rounds under a nickel at 100 yards.

I LOVE MARLIN LEVER GUNS. THEY HAVE BEEN MY PRIMARY LONG GUN FOR 60 YEARS. I HAVE A SMALL COLLECTION OF ABOUT 10, ENCOMPASSING CALIBERS IN .22LR, .22WRFM, .30-30, AND TOPPED OFF WITH A GUIDE GUN IN .45-70. THEY ARE ALL GREAT SHOOTERS....

I GRAVITATED TO MARLINS BECAUSE OF THE SIDE EJECTION, AND THE ACCURACY OF THEIR "MICRO-GROOVE" .22 CALIBER BARRELS....

AS OF LATE, I HAVE COME TO APPRECIATE THE HENRY RIFLES. I AM TRYING VERY HARD, TO RESIST YET ANOTHER ADDICTION.......

(SORRY FOR THE LACK OF PICS)

In the future I will be looking for a Rossi-92 in .357 just because but they are hard to find NIB.
There has been trouble speculated in the world of Rossi's Brazil manufacturing operation. CEO's only last a short time, production relocates, slashes to the catalog selection and then those limited choices are unavailable. Perhap's we have seen the last of the NIB Rossi 92s.

I fired my .357 Henry just the other day:

I see you put a Skinner site on yours.it seems it's working, your target looks good.I was thinking about getting one.I took a few minutes to adjust my buckhorn sites before I blew some spoiled apples off an old log I had them on.
The first time I shot it was when I went camping out in the middle of Nevada a few weeks ago.

My Rossi 92 357 was new in box and has 2017 stamped on the receiver. They are out there but in very very limited numbers. I won't lie I had to pay full retail when I finally did find one but even so it was much cheaper than a miroku Winchester. It's accurate and it functions flawlessly.

I don't know what state Rossi is in right now. I heard that they were consolidating manufacturing plants and should have more production in 2018. Who knows what will actually happen though
