Anyone have this holster?

BLACKHAWK Compact Askins Leather Holster

Anyone have good experiences with one of those? I was looking for a smallish, easily concealed holster similar to a Galco Stinger or a Desantis Mini Scabbard for my soon to be picked up M&P Shield. I liked the looks of the Blackhawk in brown leather (don't ask why, I just think it looks great!) and its top appears to be slightly stiffer than the Galco or Desantis. I also liked the rear belt loop which I think will tend to keep the holster closer to my body and provide a bit of a forward cant. Price on these was a few dollars more than the Galco or Desantis.

If you have one or like them, let me know. If you have alternates to it.....please keep them to yourself! I about wore myself out deciding which was best for me as it was!

I am still considering also getting a paddle style holster, or maybe a pancake. But I want to use the Backhawk for awhile first. I'm hoping it will prove to be comfortable and concealable enough for EDC.

I have that holster for my 642 and absolutely love it for that gun. It holds it tight to my body and is just perfect.

However, for my 9c I have a Lobo Gunleather OWB that is excellent also. Ray is a member on this forum and makes a great holster at a great price in a speedy fashion.

Technically I won't recommend the Blackhawk for the 9c because I don't have that exact holster.

That Lobo is a very nice looking holster. Thanks for the report on the Blackhawk with your revolver; just what I wanted to hear.
