Anyone know how S&W does this ?

How do they process a lifetime warranty on handguns that have been discontinued or they have stopped making (a 20 or 30 year old handgun or a handgun they no longer have parts for).

Or is the "lifetime warranty" just more marketing **** that really means nothing ?

From what I have seen from past post here is you handgun is covered under the lifetime warranty and they can no longer repair they offer a replacement model that is similar in make/model.

I could be wrong but I have seen folks here post they sent weapon X back and it could no longer be repaired so they offered weapon X 2.0.
