At Tunica? Headed to the SWCA show and planned on spending the day in Tunica. My mother, bless her heart, is worried about the water. (doesn't matter that I am way, way beyond the age she needs to be worrying!) Just let me know if you have any info on there or further downstream.

Looks like the river is below flood stage at Memphis and dropping. Looks full at Greenville. I assume its OK at Tunica now. Just remember the Corps of Eng. is trying to empty the Upper Missouri as fast as possible.

Some, but not all, of the casinos in Tunica are open for business. Most of the water is gone and the roads are open.

I crossed it 4 times this week at Memphis. Back within the banks but still somewhat high. Most casinos open. Old Man River is behaving his self for the moment.

Ol' man river's little brother 'Mo' is going to be pushing some water down that way soon... Nearly double the previous record releases are coming through Gavins Point dam (145,000CFS) now with lots of water still to come. It will probably be a week or two till the big push makes it that far south though.

All the casinos at Tunica are open. Here's a news report. Business was booming over Memorial Day. They are doing some bridge repairs on the I-40 bridge. I'd recommend the I-55 bridge but you may find some traffic slowdowns. Hope you have a safe trip. See you at Orlando.
