Looking at a really nice Remington 07/15 French rifle. I'd like to load some plinking type stuff for it so my 9yr old can enjoy shooting it.

I found some 8mm Nambu cast bullets(110gr). Thought I would use 6grs of Bullseye and fill the rest of cartridge with cream of wheat.

Brass is now easy to find. Any comments? Guess it would work for 8mm Mauser too.

With a load that light wouldn't have to worry about other French guns in that caliber coming apart etc.

You may not be too pleased with that bullet in that application.
COTW shows bullet diameter of the 8mm Nambu as .320; 8mm Lebel is .323, as is the 8x57mm.

The various 8mm's are all over the place. After you have slugged the barrel and added .001-.003", you will have some idea of what you need in the way of a cast bullet. I have a Model 95 Steyr 8x56Rmm (.332 bore and mirror bright), a Turk M38 8x57mm (.323 bore and smooth) and a Yugo M98 (.326 bore and a little rough). Coming up with cast bullet loads for these has been.....interesting :D. Good luck.
