Is anyone making see-thru grips like the ASP had for either a 5906 or the 3913?

Are there any grips that would lend themselves to converting to this style grip?

Thanks,

Michael

A few years ago there was an article about the 2nd coming of the ASP using a Shield 2.0.

I think it was in Recoil Magazine.

Robar did the custom work and it said they cut the polymer and inserted lexan for the mag window.

Not sure if you could find a grip maker that was able to cut wooden grips, or do it with the rubber ones, and insert lexin?

Pat Grashorn made a Lexan grip for a S&W Model 10 we use as a teaching gun in NRA Basic Pistol classes. I provided the Lexan and he did an excellent job of replicating an OEM grip. You might contact him. I think he has stopped taking orders although you can get on a wait list. Other grip makers might be available.

Why can't you make a mold of the grips and pour some kind of acrylic in the mold? You should get the same texture and even the insignia when done.

Plenty of vids on YouTube. Only issue would be finding a clear resin.
