Anyone remember The Ink Spots?

I've heard of them; that's about it. We had ink wells in our desks in grade school. Ink Spots wouldn't be very PC nowadays.

I heard them on the radio but don't remember if they were on TV when my parents bought our first 1947 7" screen RCA set. Were they on Ed Sullivan?
