Not a big fan of how the Troy rails look and Troy doesn’t make a quad free float in a mid-length, so I'm looking at the Daniel Defense 7.62 Lite Rail™ 9.0, Mid-length, link below:

Has anyone tried this system? If so did you have to modify anything on the M&P10 such as gas tube or gas block?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you know if those are the right top rail height?
Have you looked at the Midwest Industries hand guards? I'm very happy with mine.
Midwest Industries: DPMS .308 SS-KeyMod Series

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm looking at something thats midlength and has a true quad rail. In the description it says that, "Using specifically engineered barrel nuts, the Daniel Defense 7.62 Lite Rail is compatible with the Armalite AR10, Rock River Arms LAR-8, and DPMS LR-308 rifles."

Ive read on AR-15.com where an SW rep said the following: "The M&P10 is compatible with the DPMS Lo-profile compatible rails. (Please be aware there are several types of so called "standards" for .308 AR rails. (Armalite, DPMS hi-profile, DPSM lo-profile ) Some manufacturers label them as such, and some don't offer all three heights. (This is mainly an upper receiver height difference and barrel threading.) The barrel threading of the M&P10 is compatible with the DPMS barrel threading. The two most popular .308 rail systems are from Troy or Daniels Defense."

Thus brings me to my questions about the 7.62 Lite Rail™ 9" Mid-length, I'd like to know if anyone out there has tried it and if they could shed any light on it I would be most greatful. Pictures would be even better.

Thanks again!

You might try contacting Daniel Defense before you buy, as I have read that their rails are a close match but there may be a slight height difference.
