Just got my first AR, a Stag in LH. It came with a BSA red, blu or green dot scope on it. I was at a shop yesterday in Grand Junction and one of the guys there was installing one of the above mentioned Nikon scopes on a S&W AR 15. I handled it and really liked it. The item was highly recommended by the installer. Anyone use one on your AR???

Thanks,
Tom

Yes I have it on my Bushmaster. If you have the front sight on your rifle, it will be visible until you get the scope up to 3 power. This scope reticle is called the point blank reticle. I like Nikon scopes. I have both of the P223 scopes as well. The straight 3 power is nice but the 3x9 with the BDC is really nice. I use Nikon bases as well on all my AR's. I liked the M223 point blank but I really like the P223 3x9 BDC better.:D

Right, I'm debating what to put on my RR Predator Pursuit, it has a full length stock and 16 inch barrel, with the ACE tubular stock??? I suppose I need a taller mount???

Take a look at the Nikon P-series or M223 bases. The Burris base is another good base. All of these have a built in riser. They are really nice.:D The P-series is the least expensive base.
