I was thinking of trying this BSA sight system on my 15-22 to see if I liked it before plinking down way more $$ for something like an EOtech..... Wondered if anyone had tried this unit and what the impressions are. Thanks.

Greetings. Interesting & timely topic. I too am looking for a holo reflex sight for my M&P 15-22 and like you I can't see spending some $400.00 on an EOTech or Trijicon. I started my research looking at/reviewing:

ADCO Mirage Solo
Aimshot Reflex
BSA Pano (PMRGS)
Burris FastFire II
Osprey Tactical Reflex
Sightmark Ultra
Truglo Reflex
UltraDot Pan AV

Based on reviews and dot size by today I had winnowed my list down to:

ADCO Mirage Solo
BSA Pano
Burris FastFire II
UltraDot Pan AV

But after further reading I scratched the Burris from my list. I think it's gonna come down to the UltraDot or BSA. Don't know that I want to spend $170.00 or so on the UltraDot, but, you get what you pay for I suppose. And it's made in Japan vice China. On the other hand, the UltradDot has 1 MOA adjustments and the BSA has 1/2 MOA adjustments. Certainly we're not talking benchrest accuracy here, but still, 1/2 MOA would appear to be more accurate. Whilst I'd never buy a BSA scope (But then, why would their sights be any better?) I may just get the BSA and use it for awhile, then put it on my Ruger MkIII and get the UltraDot.

I'd be interested to know what you ultimately decide to go with, and what your thoughts are after use. I'll do the same. Luck to ya.

Cheers,

Mark

Edit- Okay, took the plunge. Just ordered the BSA PMRGS (Red & Green reticles) and spare battery from Adorama Photography (www.adorama.com). $72.00 total including shipping (Sight $68.75, Battery .95, 5-7 day shipping $2.30). Will post a review when I get it and use it.

Cheers

and remember to take these manufacturer claims with a gain of salt. I wouldn't make my purchase decision based on them.. just get what you really want. the cheap stuff is not likely to be what it says it is. They just throw in popular buzz words to make the sale.

I just bought one a few weeks ago but havn't had a chance to shoot with it on my 15-22 just yet. I do like that it co-witness's perfectly with the iron sights without a riser. It is the PMRS(multi-reticle) in red only. Got it for 50 at acadamy.

I have the BSA....
picked it up at the same time i bought the 15-22...
really didnt know much about it...i was just looking for a red dot that wasnt too expensive...especially since the 15-22 was my first rifle...I was pleasantly surprised with this sight...after zeroing in @ the range it was flawless...
nice to have 4 different reticles and it works well indoors and outdoors...

I picked up one for my 15-22 and used it for a while. It was ok out to about 25 yards.Academy had them for $49
