I've seen the ads in NRA magazine and wondered if anyone has tried one of these "pouch-like" holsters for OWB carry? It certainly conceals the firearm, but it seems like it almost advertises that there is a gun inside of the pouch. Maybe I am overly concerned that people seeing this type of undoubtedly comfortable way to carry will immediately suspect or know that I am carrying, but then again years ago I bought a "cross carry bag" from Coronado Leather. This bag was something of a "man purse" and I used it on summer vacations for carrying my sunglasses, cell phone, keys, wallet, and in a "hidden" section on the back of the bag, a firearm. I never was approached by an LEO or reported by others even though I might have been in a state where my non-resident PA license or Utah license was not recognized.

We have 2. One for a Taurus 738 and Sig ultra. The ultra is a little big, but conceals gun well. The 738 looks just like a cell phone holder. Never received a second glance yet.

There was a thread running about this a while back, and most people seemed to think it was pretty obvious. The picture I saw looked huge to me.

There are times when it doesn't pay to advertise. :)

If you're not aware of them, you probably wouldn't give it a second glance. People carry all kinds of weird gadgets these days. Do pay attention to how you're dressed though. At a local swap meet, I saw I rather large man with a long, grizzled beard wearing combat boots, BDU's, a Lynyrd Skynyrd T-Shirt, and black patent-leather Sneaky Pete holster on his belt - it looked a little out of place.

I have one for a PPK. No looks from any sheeple. Those who know what it is (firearms people), know what it is.

I have a set of these pouches from Sears the largest, black, one has two compartments, with lots of room for a med to small hand gun and ammo carrier, in the inner comrartment and the outer could carry phone, knife, etc, etc. the "Craftsman" patch gives the impression it has tools or something like that rather than a gun. It is made of canvas or similar fabric, good zippers, and a couple of strong belt loops on the back.
It all fits and is comfortable, I have not used it for carry yet I am not used to be wearing stuff on my belt but I may give it a try. I may try it though. What do ya'll think?

I can't imagine trying to get those pouches open in a hurry.

I have been looking at them. Maybe for my LCP, but It would have to be way too big to fit my BG38 . They come in sizes for exact guns.

These have been brought up a bit recently. I always say they look like a medicinal pump. Too big and bulky in my opinion (and ugly as sin) but if it works for you then it's worth it.

Stop this luggage on your hip nonsense and wear your gun like a man...in a holster!

Funny, But I agree.
In 30+ years of searching for that "perfect" carry mode, I always come back to a simple (but quality) HOLSTER!

Sears.com

Soft sided as it is, my bet is on it printing unless you have other stuff in there to off-set it, but then you've got stuff to dig through when it hits the fan.
