i received my renewal form 6 today from the batf. it was mentioned by a few fellow shooters that this process could start taking longer because of the anti gun thinking of the new administration. with all the doom and gloom talk has there been any mention of changes to your 2nd rights, up here we are keeping the ****rat anti's at bay with the conservative gov't but i'm still not holding my breath, what are you members having to dwell on.

Dasnake - The big news is Mexico! And how we (the U.S.) are making Mexico's life miserable, which I gather our Attorney General and Secretary of State feel the need to do something about, doubtless with the great one's approval. BARF.

What is this form 6 thing you mention? If it is just a document that allows otherwise decent Canadians to come here with their firearms on legitimate business/pleasure, I hope we aren't causing you further troubles. So far, nothing concrete from the new crowd in Washington, but it is coming.

Jake; I wouldn't be surprised a bit that things will take you a might bit longer. The number of FFL applications is up - I don't know just how much but I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers have doubled. Also, the numbers of NICS checks has been going up and up and up; right along with the numbers of CPL requests. So, the "paper pushers" are staying very busy these days!

hey m, the form 6 is an import permit that allows me to bring guns and ammo that i have filed with the batf in the u.s., i currently have 22 firearms on my list, i also have a membership with a local u.s. club and a north dakota hunting license. this was first implemented by your last anti gun prez, clinton. that is why i am curious about the future.

I think Troy is out for me and maybe the AZ Show next year will be a possible. There is a new Grandkid due in August so I think that will be our Vacation which will take us back to MN. We're looking at September.

I tried to catch Mark at the last WAC but got distracted by 'business' and then this weekend was the Sequim Gun Show.

If you mean the NRA, I think they are bracing for anything and everything.

Most people I talk with are expecting the assault weapons ban will be back before the end of the great one's term, and probably a lot of other silly, feel-good type legislation that the other side thinks will make them look like heroes. What they apparently still haven't learned is that gun control tripe consistently loses elections for them. Like a moth drawn to the flame, they just can't resist.

In some ways, I hope they take on the CCW crowd. I think this area is where they have their biggest opportunity to make fools of themselves.

I don't know just where you got this "idea" because they were spewing this particular Tripe long before the Election but they still managed to bag the prize with the Right Coast libels and/or Cemetery vote long before most of those of us, West of the Mississippi, even had our Polls close. I think we will see some Obama “shills” introducing some really outlandish anti-gun legislation. Then Obama will denounce them and introduce some “reasonable” gun controls. That is to say, oppressive.

Mr. Obama won the last election by default - not on the strength of his position on anything (including guns). Remember? - he had no positions. (I am trying to be a little optimistic here - humor me!
