I've noticed that Apex now carries the aluminum triggers that usually come with the FSS kit separately. My question is has anyone used the AL trigger with the DCAEK kit?

Looks very similar to the glock or springfield set up, which has that little tab in the center of the trigger. That little tab was the biggest turnoff for me on my Glock 21. Shot the gun well but hated that tab. It was uncomfortable to shoot.

I have the 9c with the full DCAEK and the trigger. Love it.
I really like the trigger. The trigger with the safety in the middle is a personal preference. When I shoot I don't even realize it is there.
I like it enough I just bought a 45c last Friday and will be putting the same setup in it.

Thanks for your response. I come from having a whole bunch of glocks and the trigger safety never bothered me either.

I too want the 9c and 45c. Right now I have the 9fs.

Does it eliminate a lot of the pretravel?

I have the DCAEK kit but not the trigger, a lot of the pretravel is gone but I actually like some. All of the grittyness is gone though which is mainly what I was looking for.

It did get rid of some pretravel.
They told me the week I received my trigger kit that they changed the spring right after I got mine. I have had mine checked and it has about
a 4.3 to 4.5 pull insted of the 5.5 they advertise. I liked the pull so much I did not put the new spring they sent me in since it has the trigger safety.

Thanks guys. I just talked to Jonathan at Apex. He told me they will both work. Together they will give me a 4-4.5lbs pull.. The DCAEK alone is 5.5lbs pull.

My 9MM Shield had a trigger pull of 4.5 pounds with the DCAEK kit installed, WITH THE STOCK TRIGGER SPRING.

Swapped in the TRIGGER SPRING from the DUTY/CARRY KIT and the pull is a final 5.5 pounds.

Measured with a Lyman Digital Trigger Pull Gague.
