I have had a Apex Tactical trigger kit in my M&P for a couple of years or so, with about 5000 rounds thru it. Just like turning on a light switch it started having dead triggers, at the rate of about 5 per box of 50. Didn't trust it at all. I replaced the striker assembly and the trigger bar, watched Randys video about adjusting the trigger bar, had it apart numerous times trying to stop it. Finally Called Apex and found out they moved to the Phoenix area. I stopped by and Scott met me at the door and instantly started on it. Replaced a few things, adjusted a few things and it appears to have fixed the problem. It appeared the striker was contacting the safety block hard as it was going by. Not sure what changed to cause it to start doing this. Scott, (one of the owners) spent at least and hour and a half with me changing things out and inspecting it. And all of this at no charge!!!! When was the last time you had an owner of a large scale business do that for you??? They have earned me as a repeat customer for life, although I already was one. Thank you Scott....it was greatly appreciated.

Their CS is second to none. I'll be a customer of theirs for life.

outstanding, that's great to hear. Their Customer service is amazing, I called with some questions after installing a kit on my 45c and they were very helpfull, we talked about half an hour exchanged emails and they did a follow up after a while, very impressed.

Same here, top quality.

I have 3 M&P 9's. 2 already have FSS flat face trigger kits
end FRE extractors.

My 3rd Pro Series will have them shortly.

Got the DC/AEK kits in a 40c and a 9c. Love em, having one installed in a 45c as I write this. Love what Apex does to a M&P action.

The APEX extractor has helped my brass-to-face problem with my Glock 17 Gen3 and my M&P 9c.
I replaced my stock M&P sear with the APEX standard fully machined sear to improve my trigger pull and the difference is fantastic. Without replacing anything else, the trigger pull is smoother, lighter and still has the crisp break and crisp reset that I already had. In my opinion, APEX can do no wrong.

Sorry but I am not in agreement that "Apex is amazing". This shouldn't happen. After 5,000 rounds and paying probably $100+ for one of Apex's kits, I would be asking myself if this is what I want to keep installed in my pistol and could it happen again when I need it the most!?! My Glock 27 (which is the pistol I own with the most rounds thru it - over 5k) has the standard Glock trigger and I never had an issue.

I was on the fence whether I wanted to put one of these in my M&P. Based on this I think I'll pass.

I wouldn't base my opinion on one experience that you read on the forums. This may or may not have been an issue with the Apex part. It could have just as easily been an issue with the factory parts or a tolerance stacking issue. One thing to keep in mind on internet reviews, for every good review you read, there are probably 1000 people with the same opinion, for every bad review there are probably 10-50 with the same opinion. A lot of people that will never praise anything are very quick to bash something. Also, on that note a lot of people will post stuff only when they have issues, not when everything is working fine. I bet I could find someone with an issue or problem for just about anything ever made.

So true. It' human nature to accept what works right and move on. No issue. No harm no foul. etc, etc. But when something does NOT work correctly it gets and holds our attention until it's resolved.

Like getting food poisoning at a restaurant. May be one in 10,000 customers, but then it's a big deal.

I only have the Apex sear. That and some polishing, adjusting the bar loop has made it perfect for me. YMMV

I am considering a new trigger for my 9c, and after reading this, I will definitely buy Apex....

I get it, we might have to trust it with our lives. But by the standard you have set here...no firearm, or part of a firearm for that matter, could ever be trusted. None (not even all Glock 27's) are 100% without issue.

Just a little food for thought.

Another thought on the subject is, you should be careful on which parts you add to a carry gun. Not knocking Apex, or any other brand, some aftermarket parts can be made better and more reliable than factory. One part in particular is the "reduced power" striker springs, I won't put those in anything I might carry. Some will disagree, and that's fine, just something to think about.

I'm not afraid to "modify" a carry gun, just careful on what I do modify or change out.
