Apex trigger (only) for M&P Shield

Has anyone installed only the APEX Action Enhancement Trigger on their M&P Shield? I mean only the trigger, and not the whole kit, just to switch from hinge safety to tab safety.

If so, can you post your thoughts--including whether it otherwise affects the pull?

Installing the trigger only seems like a pointless endeavor. I installed the complete DCAEK in both my Shields...I wouldn't have an M&P series pistol without an Apex kit.

I just installed the APEX hard sear (only) in my Shield9 today. Improved trigger break and reset 100%. Before, the break was mushy (to me) and the reset was horrible. Now it has a very clean break and a more positive reset (I feel it more than I can hear it) should have done this MOD earlier. APEX rocks!

I installed the trigger and the kit but tried the trigger alone also. The Apex trigger does reduce some of the "creep" of the stock trigger. But to get the full benefit I would install the kit also.
I also like the feel of the Apex trigger much better than the M&P trigger since I'm an XDM guy

Have they improved the triggers in the Shields of late? I rented one a few weeks back and thought trigger was very good.

I'm waiting to see if Apex will come out with a poly trigger for the Shield. Don't really care for the metal trigger.
I've done the "Burwell" job to striker block and sear.
