We have narrowed it down to Whirlpool and Frigidaire appliances.
Can anyone give guidance to companies 2A stance and domestic production?

I have no idea about the 2A stance, but Whirlpool <STRIKE>makes</STRIKE> assembles lots of appliances in Tulsa, OK and Ft. Smith, AR. I know some of the parts come from other places, because I've hauled wiring harnesses from Juarez to Ft. Smith.

They are across the mountain from me in Clayton.
A bit pricey though, but the appliances are brought up to standard and fitted with modern compressors and parts that can be repaired.
