I belong to Pop's Gun Club in Southwest Broward County in Florida. We have a highly successful 'Cold Shoot' where AR enthusiasts come and shoot a tactical course.
We are pondering setting up a .22LR course using swinging targets, knock down mini steel poppers, and breaking clay targets for a at the range. With the .22 LR versions of our combat-type carbines like the 15-22, Ruger, & Colt/Umarex and many good 10-22s, 597s & others there are lots of firearms suitable for this type of tactical setup.
We have even thought of making it a 'Family Day' as this is a real popular format for kids & adults. We see it as a fun day for the family & introduce our sport to the next generation.
What do you think of the idea?
If you are in South Florida, would you consider coming out to this recurring monthly event? If so, how often, i.e. once a month, bi-weekly, weekly, etc.
Thanks for the input
Andrew
