Are the 638 Airweight models available without the internal lock???

Thinking about adding another J-frame while the rebate deal is still going strong.

I like the ability to shoot these models single action as well as double.

Just wondered if they were available without the infernal lock.

Yes, I have a 638-1, and it is my favorite carry gun.
Good choice!
OOPs, not sure about the Airweight. mine is light enough though.

Yes...looking for a nib 638 w/o the internal lock.

Not sure if this is a current item or not.

Mine is Alloy frame with stainless cylinder and barrel and weighs right around 12 ounces unloaded.
I really haven't seen any current no locks though.

No, only some of the current DAO models (442 and 642). The very earliest 638s may have come without the IL, someone will post a photo if so...
