I bought 1000 round of Magtech 9mm (115gr) and I was always happy with performance, no problem, but I noticed that there are some junk around the primer, contacted Magtech USA, and they could not identify any reason. Also different batch I purchased from Cabellas or A1ammo have similar problems. What do you think? I am now buying Geco/RWS and very happy with Swiss/German stuff!!!

MagTech 9mm AMMO

I have purchased over 2500 rounds of Magtech 115 gr FMJ in the last year or so--I still have about 1000. I have never had any problems--it has always been clean---and shoots clean and true-----I alwys purchase the qty 50 blue boxes---not anything in the bulk packages

looks like maybe some kinda sealant, or waterproofing? Pick out 10 of the worst, load the mag and try em?

see if the cartridges lose any of the stuff in the gap around the primer after the concussion of shooting.

Could also be that the mfg's are going deep in the stockroom to keep up with the demand. Also you have 2 different stamps on the brass, are these reloads? Maybe subcontracted out from Magtech to keep up with supply.

who knows? just choot em!

What do you mean by "problems"? That speck of dirt or what not? I wouldnt have even paid attention to it. If it makes you feel better send it to me, ill dispose of it and send the brass back to you!

The other two are factory ammo from Federal, just to illustrate the difference. I first thought it might be the sealant, but 20% do not have that, so later on I thought it might be dirt, so I contacted Magtech USA, after 1 month, they still had no idea. I had zero problem with their stuff!!!

It's no big deal. I've seen Winchester ammo with tumbling media around the primer pockets. It has zero effect on the ammo itself.

That "CBC" headstamp is about the only brass I won't bother to reload. Find far to many cracks in it.

Any ammo that fits into a chamber and goes "BANG" is a good thing ,during these times...........

The brass can be cleaned all you want later,if you reload, otherwise it has served its purpose.

Looks like a sealer,to me,also...........no big thing.........

Shoot it and enjoy.
