Are these old ivory grips?

And are they for an antique S&W?
My dad brought them out of Mexico about 60 years ago, and they were not attached to a gun.

They look like very old bone to me. I don't know what they would fit, but I like them.

Yes, they are ivory, based on the presence of Schreger lines clearly visible on the bottom of the panels. Can't tell what they fit, possibly a top break.

Do the hot needle test. If it smells like hair, its ivory.

They sure do look like ivory. Like the others, I don't know what gun they fit, but those grips definitely belong on an old gun. Those things scream "character".

Use a black light. There's a striking difference as the ivory glows.
