No way. Anything that gets political is out for me.
Maybe some college football. Wouldn't phase me a bit if the NFL folded completely.

Have no desire to see functional illiterates being paid millions of dollars to play children's games.

I would support disbanding them altogether. If they want to protest, let it be on their own time. Let them put their money where their mouth is.
If they want to play, let them buy their own stadiums from the city, and pay their way so the taxpayers won't have to subsidize them.
In the meantime, take your kids out shooting, or for a ride in the country, or volunteer cleaning up the trash along the highway. or better yet, make them read a book.
