For our fellow members in Arizona....

A dear friend of mine has invited me to come visit him in Scotsdale, but he cautioned me to not bring any handguns using double stack magazines....

Whats the truth of this? I cannot find anything in State of Arizona codes regarding this. I sent an inquiry to the AG.......so far no response.

I'm not from Arizona, but I have a couple of friends who are and who carry. Neither of them have said anything about magazine restrictions.

I'll check with them and get back to you if no one else does before that.

Handgunlaw.us is a pretty good site as well.

Maybe he wants to try shooting yours and has small hands? Or he's paying for the ammo and is a cheapskate? There are NO magazine restrictions here.

Arizona is a free state, and has been voted number 1 state in the nation by Guns & Ammo magazine for being pro-gun in all respects.

Do you REALLY think we'd have a foam-at-the-mouth magazine restriction that would outlaw High Powers, Glocks, etc. from being carried here? Really?

Perish the thought.

John

I think two adjoining states, CA and CO, have restrictions. Maybe he's thinking of going with you to one of those states.

Have fun and bring your sunscreen. :)

That's why I have learned to ask.

Thanks everyone!!

Not only should you bring them you should go to local gun shops and buy more to bring back with you.

I tell ya, the worse Colorado gets the more I think about moving back to Tucson. It's been 35 years since I left, if my sons and grandkids weren't here I'd go back though I still can't handle the heat lol.

It may get hot in the summer in Arizona, but we don't usually have tornadoes, huge floods, earthquakes, etc. Also the winters are the best in the nation. Just a bit nippy in Phoenix, but a few hours north, you can get snow if you really want it.

Even the animals here learn to cope with the heat in the summer...

Sounds like the Number 1 state in my book. Plus ya got Tombstone!! One great attraction.

I lived and worked for just short of 60 yrs in Arizona . There is NO mag restriction . Don't be surprised to see quite a few people shopping and carrying in Walmart stores . Open carry is quite prevalent and acceptable . Regards, Paul

I lived in Tucson from 1968-1984, never got used to it LOL. Our dogs would frequently jump in my parent's pool during the summer. My German Shepherd would too when I took him over to visit-really upset my mom hahaha.

My brother and his wife still live in the Phoenix area. He loves it, now retired he works at a golf course three days a week and gets to golf for free-which he does 4-6 days a week. I only visit in the winter :D.
