Yep. Note that I mentioned something along those lines in Post #8:
"They may put their own slant on the report..."
ABC News says this:
"The suspect in the shooting that injured multiple people in an Oklahoma City restaurant has died after he was shot by an armed civilian, according to police.
The customer was outside when the suspect walked into the restaurant and began opening fire around 6:30 p.m. local time, Oklahoma City Police Public Information Officer Bo Matthews said in a press conference after the shooting. The civilian then confronted the suspect and shot him to death, police wrote on Twitter.
Both the suspect and the civilian were armed with a handgun, police said."
CBS News puts it this way:
"Oklahoma City police said a man was killed after allegedly shooting two people in a restaurant on Thursday. The suspected shooter was confronted outside the restaurant by a bystander with a pistol, Oklahoma City police said.
Mathews said when the suspect exited the restaurant, he was confronted by a citizen who took out his own firearm, shooting and killing the suspect, KWTV reports."
People who complain that the so-called "mainstream media" won't report on stories like this are usually mistaken. But again, media are privately owned businesses. They're gonna report stuff, and they're gonna report it the way they choose, not how we want them to report it. Reporters who write stories are going to write them the way the boss
tells them to write it...if they want to keep their jobs, that is.
I couldn't care less whether the media or some random reporter has an
agenda or not. I'm grown up enough and smart enough to see/read the reports and make up my own mind about stuff.
