Back in the early 70s I had a few ASPs pass thru my hands at local shops where I worked during the busy periods. I was in college and was working for gas and beer money and prayed my 1959 VW would start. Never had enough cash for a 39-2 much less the cost of the conversion. Finally sprung last week and bought an ASP, still in transit. Just wondering if anybody had read or heard of any production numbers. Thanks, Mike

Bork, These are both neat guns that converted models 39, 39-2 and even the Model 59. Not much information available on either one but from what I have ascertained over the years, there are about 250 of the Charles Kelsey Devel and 2000 off the Paris Theodore ASP. The 3rd one in the mix is the Lin Alexiou Trapper and I have no data on numbers for this one although I would guess there aren't that many. Hoping to see pictures when your gun arrives.

Just came across this one 20 minutes ago. Just trying to decide of I should jump on it or not.

Well, as all ways the members have offered up some great tidbits. I guess the production numbers are a real cloud. No nice neat number tied up in a bow. So just go with "not commonly encountered for sale". And if encountered, tend to be pricey.
