Dear fellows as you probably know I live in Brazil and it´s somehow difficult for me to buy items in the US since I don´t have an international credit card.I´ve been trying to buy a ASP baton and perusing the web I came across a site advertising a titanium ASP baton. The ASP site do not list such item, so I ask you for help, to determine if this is the real thing or is a low quality chinese import.
Thanks for any help, regards, Ray.

I know they have had lightweight ones for years, as well as different lengths. I've had an ASP baton for over 20 years. It is all steel, and made by the ASP company. Works really well, and is not too heavy. I had an armed Bodyguard assignment during the Iowa Caucuses where I was guarding a Presidential candidate. I wore it under my suit, on my non-dominant side, in front of a spare mag. It was easy to conceal and very comfortable.

When in doubt, get the one by the company that is famous for producing them.
I personally wouldn't want one too light.

A titanium baton wouldn't be very economical, and wouldn't really have the weight behind it like the steel/aluminum ones do. ASP doesn't make a titanium one, so the one you refer to is either a knockoff or simply another brand. I'd be wary though, because titanium is not cheap, and if the price doesn't really reflect it, it's probably not really titanium.

I've carried a lightweight ASP for about 10 years. Only had to use it a couple of times on duty but I train with it annually. Mine has held up just fine and though it's about 40% lighter than steel it still packs about 95% of the punch.

You do realize it's for banging on specific muscles which are generally soft, not busting heads?

Personally, I prefer something that will do both. :D
