At an auction yesterday

Picked up a couple of S&Ws. One is a 29-2 Serial N456xxx. It's what I call pimp gun all shiny nickle. The other was a six inch M-48 22 mag serial in the K357xxx range Was wondering approx. Manufacture or ship date for both. I gotta stop buying all these guns. I also bought a Springfield Range officer 9mm 1911 and a CZ in 204 Ruger

N456xxx is approx 1978-79.

K357xxx is approx 19590-60

I certainly thank you. The 29-2 is an 8 3/8" Nickle gun. I think I may have paid a bit much at 750 but It's still a nice piece. The 48 is really nice and I paid 500 for it.

Hey if that 29-2 is in any kind of decent condtion, you did just fine. Especially if it came with original stocks, box and docs.

No box or papers on the 29-2 or the 48. I bought the 44 to sell. Not all that thrilled about Long bbls. I think it would rate at about 97-98% though. The 48 is about a 95% gun. It is the one I went there to buy. But of course... I bought a LOT more stuff. I also bought a really pretty CZ varmint rifle in 204 Ruger. Best buy was a FN Browning action with a timney trigger and the whole top end of a series 70 Colt 1911 all for 95 bucks.
