There is a free UFC Fight Night on Spike this Wed. After the fight, the new season of the Ultimate Fighter starts.

The main event fight is Carlos Condit Vs. Martin Kampmann

Name: Carlos Condit
Height: 6' 2" (188 cm)
Weight: 170 (77 kg)
Record: 23-4-0

Name: Martin Kampmann
Height: 6' 0" (183 cm)
Weight: 170 (77 kg)
Record: 14-2-0

As most know, Condit is the former WEC Welterweight Champ. He is top-10 ranked in the world at 170. This is his first fight in the UFC.

Kampmann, is a UFC vet, who has dropped down from 185 lbs (middleweight) to 170 (welter). Kampmann is 5-1 in the UFC.

I'm picking Carlos Condit. Should be a great fight.

I already have my DVR box set for this and the TUF premier after. Condit is a beast but Kampmann is no joke, it should be a good fight. And I have learned thanks to my UFC fantasy picks I have to pick fighters that will win rather than ones I like so I did pick Junie even though hes a D-bag. But On sunday I think theres a WEC event on VS's. Miguel Torres is going to win again guaranteed.

There is a WEC event on Sunday also. I will post a thread on it tomorrow. The first week of April is sweet for MMA fans--two free fights in one week.

An interesting little story from sherdog on the fight bonus money:

"UFC Issues $120K in Bonuses

Tyson Griffin and Rafael dos Anjos were awarded matching $30,000 "Fight of the Night" bonuses, according to UFC officials, after they engaged in a spirited confrontation at UFC Fight Night 18. Griffin won a unanimous decision -- 30-27 on all scorecards -- in a fight many felt was much closer than the judges' scores indicated.

Rob Kimmons banked a $30,000 "Submission of the Night" bonus after he left Joe Vedepo unconscious with a first-round guillotine choke, and Aaron Simpson pocketed the $30,000 "Knockout of the Night" bonus after he stopped fellow World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Tim McKenzie on strikes less than two minutes into their middleweight bout.

The event drew a crowd of 10,267 for a $626,0777 gate, UFC officials announced during a post-fight press conference … Jorge Rivera, his career revived by his appearance on "The Ultimate Fighter 4" in 2006, visited the winner's circle for the first time in more than a year when he edged UFC newcomer Nissen Osterneck by split decision."

The complaint BJ filed with the state athletic commission is still pending. There is a remote possibility that the commission could declare the fight a NC. Both Matt Hughes and Jason "Mayhem" Miller said that GSP was greased up when they fought him.
