Found episodes of, Whispering Smith, a Western TV series starring Audie Murphy, on YouTube.

The war hero and actor played a Denver detective. Very good show, like, Tombstone Territory. It's there, too.

Two of the best TV shows, ca. 1959. Get over there and watch before some copyright issue causes the shows to be banned.
Look at the way Smith carried his gun, higher than most. Not seen in the opening credits, but in the episodes. I think the barrel of his Colt SAA was a bit shorter than 4.75 inches, usually the shortest length.

Later: if you mean Bob Arganbright's story on several holsters owned by celebs in the Nov/Dec., 2018 issue, the Murphy holster is NOT the one he wore as Whispering Smith, although the article pictured a DVD of the show.
