I think I got it back to size. I noticed it was opening kinda big.

It takes BIG BALLS to shoot one of these!!! That's my wife laying on top a 100 pounder at Patriots Point in SC.

Here's the pic

Is that where the aircraft carrier museum is? My wife and I were there a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it, but we were there in August and man, was it hot!

Pretty cool picture by the way.

Yep, thats where the second Yorktown carrier is, as well as a sub and some coast guard boats.
I spent a whole day on those the 1st time I was there. Only got to spend a few minutes on the flight deck due to high wind

The Hunley was successful. The brave men who served in her perished (they knew they would), but she did her job.

It is my understanding that if they had used a longer detonation cord, they'd have survived. It was basically a cast iron septic tank with a huge driveshaft running through the middle of it, terminating into a propeller at the rear.

You may be right, but they were not the first crew who perished in that submarine. Her crew knew the dangers, all submariners do.

No I wanted to, but never made. I did spend quite a bit of time at Ft Moultrey (?) around the big coastal guns.

You have to see the Hunley to realize how small this thing really was. They have a Relica that you can get in that is open on one end.I couldn't imagine being in this thing out at sea and under the water. Those were VERY BRAVE MEN! If you get a chance to see it take it.

I went through the WWII Clamagore there in SC. You have to be pretty small to get through that thing too!!!

Ok, if no one else will say it, I will. After straddling THAT, you'll never be able to compete! Sorry but SOMEONE had to say it!
