Constitutional carry, but you can get a license which is handy for travel to other states. She should get the details from the horse's mouth, not some anonymous person on the 'net.

Out here you can carry concealed or open with no permit. I did renew my permit although it wasn't necessary because it sure makes buying a new gun easier as far as the background check goes.

While you don't have to get a permit, it's not a difficult process (especially for former military with their DD214). It's a good idea if you have any likelihood of traveling out of state.

The state itself is VERY gun friendly. You can slip out to the desert and shoot all you want (be sure you know where you can do this and where you can't).
