The problem with someone getting fired is that State law makes that information private so the law was violated. Fired? They need to be prosecuted but that won't happen they'll just get transferred to s different job as in "Fast and Furious".

You do not believe that Missouri is the only state where this will be attempted, do you? Just one vigilant person caught it and blew the whistle, not many folks would even recognize that their rights to privacy were being violated. Lets make sure everyone knows so this can be stopped before its too late!

Update: Missouri is now stating they are not providing this to any government agency. Do to a change in the format of the Mo. drivers license they are not printing them at the license offices but are having them printed by a private printing company somewhere in the southeast and the info is not to be shared with any third party. OOOOKAY!

I'm of the opinion that it is inevitable that we lose two major issues in the gun control debate.

One will be the attempt to implement NICS checks for every possible transaction, including gun shows and other private sales.

The other will be de-facto universal registration, whether as a listing requirement to obtain health care or liability insurance, or as a requirement to obtain an 'ammo license' or other such regulatory nonsense.

Sadly, I think these are two areas the general public will support as 'reasonable' and the NRA will cave on.

If I had to pick a third, it'd be national 10 round mag limits.

All of these will ultimately be upheld by an Obama packed SJC.
