Bad guy picks the wrong convience store to rob

That's a good one!

There used to be a local police supply/gun store in downtown Dallas that many years ago I almost purchased. I was very friendly with the owner and he is in his mid-90s now if he is still around. I have lost touch with him.

He told me a story of a mid-winter day when a guy came into his store wearing a ski mask. Not only did the store owner draw down on him instantly, the several police customers in the store did the same thing. When they pulled of his ski mask he blurted out, "I WAS JUST TRYING TO COME IN FROM THE COLD!!!". The storekeeper said, "Don't you know better to come into a gun store wearing a ski mask". The guy was way luckier than the guy in the story above!!!!

Oops.....obviously not smart enough for a career in crime.

Never good when someone dies...but he started it and no one else got hurt.

If armed resistance to violent crime was the norm....it would quickly become a thing of the past.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen here was a guy robbed a convenience store and ran into the local gun club and hid in the men's room. Of course all the employees were armed but they notified the police. It took awhile to get him out of there because the police couldn't stop laughing.

...well, damn. Somebody did it.

That kind of reminds me of a scene from an old cop tv show I used to watch. Some idiot walks into a crowded bar and tries to rob it. Unfortunately for him, every single customer that night was an armed cop.

Courtsey of CBS news and my car radio.... Overnight a man walked into a South St. Louis gas station with a gun and announced a robbery. He was promptly shot dead by a plainclothes police office. In addition to being a gas station and convience store, the Shell at Arsenal and I-55 was a POLICE SUB STATION.

I note the video is from Brazil. Several videos from there are around where a miscreant is unceremoniously shot and left bleeding / dying on the sidewalk, with no great urgency by the shooter / onlookers to summon medical assistance. It does send a message ...
