Sorry all, my mistake, I edited this to be correct. Does anyone know or has anyone installed an over sized charging latch on the MP15-22 like the Badger or the Brownells units? I would like to get and install a Badger unit if it will fit?

Thanks

from the other thread you listed, i was curious if you put the 15/22 latch on the ar handle if it would lock in place?
anyone try this in the past?
asking because the pictures make it look possible..

Sorry guys, my mistake, I meant just the latch, not the whole charging handle.

You should be able to purchase the Badger Gen2 latch separately and put it on your existing charging handle. It's about $15.

Morning ADSD

You do realize the Badger latch is for a real AR/M-4 & won't work on the 15-22 without major modification. The latch hook part for the 15-22 is a different length than what the Badger comes with.

Technically, it should work, but you would have a little play in your charging handle due to the extra length of the 15-22 latch hook. I am not sure why you would want to do this anyway, it is just a standard latch really.

Thanks for the info, I will do that.

Just remember, trying to use this latch will require modification to your upper receiver. If it doesn't end up working or you mess up, you will have to get a new one from S&W (which I guess isn't that big of a deal, but more hassle than I want to go through at the moment).
