With only 104 of these 8-shot 6.5" Model 27-7s ever in existence, this may well be the rarest S&W production revolver posted on the forum. Original Registered Magnums are plentiful by comparison.
This gun is serial-numbered BNG0003 and is in museum-quality condition. There is the usual turn line, but otherwise the gun is mint. There is no indication this revolver has been fired outside the factory. The gun comes in its original aluminum Performance Center case, with all the usual paperwork. The outer carton is gone. The factory letter is dated June 22, 2006 and signed/initialed by Roy Jinks. It confirms the gun originally shipped from Springfield to Bangers in Birmingham on April 28, 2000.
I have been fortunate to own four of these 27-7s. I have been shooting one of them in USPSA/ICORE competition for close to 20 years, and it is my favorite competition revolver. I shot it at the Western States Revolver Championship in Mesa, AZ a few weeks ago, and finished 5th place out of 70 entrants. I sold another 27-7 here on this forum a few years ago to a very happy purchaser. The other one I am planning to keep as a back-up for now.
There is a 27-7 currently listed elsewhere for $4,995.
You can buy BNG0003 from me for $3,400 plus $100 insured shipping from my FFL to yours.
References available.
Thanks,
